Frequently asked questions

How many devices can I use one account on?

Free accounts support a limited number of concurrent devices; paid accounts support more. When you sign in on a new device beyond the limit, you’ll be prompted to sign out one of the existing sessions. You can rename and manage devices from the app’s profile screen.

My overseas videos / streaming services keep buffering. Will Yuanhang help?

Buffering is usually a routing or congestion problem on the path between your device and the content server. Yuanhang’s smart routing picks paths with better real-time conditions, which directly improves video and streaming performance for international content. Most users see noticeable improvements within minutes of installing.

What happens when I’m traveling and the network changes?

Yuanhang’s clients automatically detect network changes (Wi-Fi to cellular, cellular to airplane Wi-Fi, hotel Wi-Fi to mobile hotspot) and renegotiate the connection in the background. You typically see a brief reconnection indicator and then traffic continues normally. No manual reconnect needed.

Is the app battery-friendly?

Yes — battery efficiency is a primary design goal. Mobile clients pause stat polling when the app is backgrounded, batch network operations, and avoid background scanning. In typical use, Yuanhang’s per-day battery cost is comparable to any messaging or social app.

Do you keep logs of what I do?

No. We don’t log browsing activity, connected sites, or transferred data. Device authentication uses rotating tokens; the only thing we associate with your account is what’s needed to keep it secure (last-seen timestamp, masked IP for the device list). You can revoke any device session at any time.

I’m in a slow-network region. Can I still use Yuanhang?

Yes. The clients are tuned for poor cellular and shared Wi-Fi conditions. Reconnection logic uses exponential backoff, traffic is compressed where it makes sense, and the protocol is resilient to packet loss. If your underlying connection has any throughput at all, Yuanhang will use it.

Why don’t I see a Linux / Windows / macOS download?

Android is shipping first. Desktop clients are in active development. Subscribe to release notifications in the app — you’ll be the first to know when desktop builds are available.

How do I get help if something is broken?

Open a support ticket from inside the app (Profile → Support). Tickets include device context automatically so we can debug faster. The team typically responds within hours during weekdays.
